But the same is true for Nokia as well. I remember buying a 5800 and I had a terrible time servicing the phone. Still don't condone buying a micromax just because the cost in low. Seeing all the negative reviews, it probably doesn't make sense.

Why aren't you filing a case against Nokia? The same thing is happened with me. The first 5800 that I purchased has a hardware manufacturing defect. It would reboot on its own. When I got my phone, I didn't experience any slowness. As far as the dirt and grime are concerned, get a screen guard put - it'll save the phone's screen from scratches at least.
