There are two recalls on the Punto,, the clutch slave cylinder (on both diesel and petrol) and the Air conditioning system (only petrol ). I think this has been rectified post April 2010, so all punto owners who bought prior to that need to get this done ... I haven't gotten mine replaced yet, l Read More...

Emotion pack has a USB (comes with the blue & me) is in the glove box. Models below emotion pack don't have one, but you can use a blaunkpt connector. If you want the Petrol go for 1.4, it's a more advanced engine with DOHC(double overhead cam) .. 16 valves - 4 valves per cylinder. 1.2 is a SOHC with 2 valves per cylinder, affects both power and fuel economy. More on the 1.4 on this link. http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/1536952-post70.html

Punto 1.2 is SOHC motor with 8 valves per cylinder. If you are opting for Petrol get the 1.4 motor which is a more advanced engine with double cams and 16 valves, more powerful and more economical. The Diesels are even better.

Really sorry to hear about your plight. Can you please also mention if it's a petrol or a diesel, trim level active/emotion etc. It seems to be a petrol from the expected mileage figures mentioned. If it's a 1.2 then you would definitely feel it is not powerful enough, more so if you are accustome Read More...

I own a Punto, completed 6000 kms, I have had very good experence with fiat ASS. I own a zen estilo as well, experience with dealer/service station has been equally good (if not better). Have had to visit service station thrice, once for the free service, the other two visits were due to my dri Read More...

Ajaz, Can you please share the other problems that you faced with the car, since you mentioned it’s loaded with issues. I’m aware of the Clutch Slave Cylinder recall, that was carried out on all pre sept 2009 cars. I think in your case the dealer didn’t do the job properly and then tried to blame it Read More...

I think this is mentioned in the brochures, I was aware about the spare wheel, when I bought my Punto. Same story with the Honda city, Honda city don't come with alloys on the spare. Punto emotion pack is still value for money, even with a steel spare wheel. Figo diesel is the only car cheaper th Read More...

Boot space is ok. It's definitely more than vista, slightly more than I 20 and Skoda fabia. Turbo lag is not an issue, actually the torque is higher at lower RPMs in diesel so you can actually smoke the petrols initially when starting from a stop. You can expect the following differences in Punto. Read More...

I think Punto is the better choice, it's a tough car, just compare the doors on both Ritz and Punto, In punto they close with a solid thunk, in ritz they feel flimsy. Punto Emotion + model comes with airbags and ABS. All cars with ABS and airbags are expensive. Xylo E8 with ABS (no airbags) is 8.6 Read More...

I agree. The looks definitely are not earth shattering. The review could have been better though. I dont think that the author has even taken a test drive and the view is prejudiced.
