yes you can surely download thousands of third party softwares. i myself have downloaded many including java applications. go to 'get jar'.

on the picture mode of the camera(other one is the video mode) you'll find an option named sports mode which is specially provided to capture the imges of fast moving/running objets. Hope that'll solve your problem. my mail id: sir.abhishek@gmail.com
