Very true, this review is a 100% accurate. As for me, I've withdrawn all my money from ICICI Bank, and keep its (supposedly) free credit card only for emergencies, if at all.

Seems like an ICICI plant. The bank has several noticeable shortcomings, especially in telebanking. The reviewer's comments are pure baloney.

Are you kidding? You're in India, where almost no one cares for you after you've signed and delivered the cheque. Using this area of the site to air grievances against a particular dealer is a waste of everyone’s time. Here, you should have reviewed the car. There must be a Mouthshut section that reviews dealers as well, if not, propose one.

Hi Amrita, While I agree that ICICI's customer service and its propensity for levying hidden charges are very bad, the only reason to stay with ICICI is its Internet banking portal. I have lost 3 foreign clients as a result of ICICI's incompetence. The monies transferred from Europe are held in some suspense account, no one at ICICI is bothered about ensuring it reaches the ICICI customer, my clients in Europe got fed up with my constant enquiries about a transfer they claim read more...

But please remember that as of now, ICICIdirect is the ONLY online platform offering mutual fund online transactions. So even if its brokerage charges may be higher, you are better off for being able to transact in mutual funds online with no hassle of paperwork and visiting the agent.

I have the Santro XS, and it gives me jus t11 lm/l w/o AC too. I hear about people getting fantastic mileage of 13-15 with AC in city, I don't know how. They must be driving in 3rd gear all the way, and possibly ruining the gear box.

Thanks for setting up such a great site. It is sorely needed due to the lack of a 'Consumer Reports' type of magazine as is available in the US. It was my duty to write a review, seeing how the site enabled me to make an informed decision on a purchase as important as a car! Anil Gidwani
