Nice review Doctor.. I drive a Santro and a WagonR. Howerver, i beg to differ about high speed stability. Not only WagonR has better acceleration in high speeds (above 100), its actually more stable. Also, i found mileage of wagonR to be slightly better than Xing. BTW nice review.

Hey.. Good review but one clarification. WagonR suspension is wayyyy better than Santro's bumpy suspension. Even my Santro owner friends acknowledge that, besides auto magazines and automotive websites. Other than that, WagonR gives better mileage. Also, seating position is taller than Santro. Read More...

I was rolling on the floor laughing when i read Santro @160kmph more stable than Palio, Esteem.. ha ha.. Dude in terms of high speed stability, it does not come close to WagonR.. let alone Palio and Esteem.. LOL!!! Its a good city car, thats it... 160kmph... LOL!!!!!!!!

Santro doesnt use EPS. It uses normal hyraulic power steering. Only WagonR uses EPS. Please correct your review.

Nice review. Well balanced. Although i own a WagonR, i must say that your analysis was good. I do find the seating angle of wagonR a little uncomfortable at times. Other than that, both wagonR and Santro are great city cars. The Erlx model of Santro gives FE similar to wagonR i guess. The engine o Read More...

THE CAR IS NOT UGLY DUDE, ITS YOUR IMAGINATION. PERSONALLY I LIKE THE LOOKS OF WAGONR BETTER THAN SANTRO. AND WAGONR SALES HAVE OVERTAKEN SANTRO AND ALTO BY MILES DURING THE PAST FEW MONTHS. MAYBE YOU ARE A HYUNDAI HIRED PERSON.. I KNOW HYUNDAI DOES THIS.. SORRY NO ONE WILL BUY YOUR ARGUMENTS.

Was that a review? Anyways, looks are subjective. There are some people who like WagonR's looks better than Santro. Then there is the other side also. About performance, Santro is quicker in lower gears, thats because its peak power and torque comes in at a lower RPM. Whereas, wagonR has strong 4t Read More...

I agree with Ganeshnayak. This guy Shambhu has just copied pasted all the stuff and is behaving like a Hyundai Dealer/Advertising agent. A good review should be a balanced one. He calls other cars as Dabba and Unsafe thinking that his car is the safest and most sturdy in the world. And Mr. Supspa Read More...
You call WagonR dabba, and forgot that Santro is a cheap Korean Football on wheels ;-). Anyways, even when you say 800 is better than Alto, you are wrong again. Alto is a generation ahead of 800. Its more safer, sturdy and comfortable than even Santro!. Dont make unneccesary comments on cars you ha Read More...

Hi there. I am planning to buy this as my next car. However, i have heard on numerous occasions that the Gearshift in Indica is a BIG concern. Also, since i have driven petrol vehicals all my life, will i be able to start this vehicle in 2nd gear in start/stop traffic?. Looking forward to your rep Read More...

For 4,40,000, i would rather go for Swift LXI. Santro can never dream of even coming close to Swift, in terms of Performance and comfort. In any event, Best B segment car today in market is WagonR.. Santro comes a close second. This is from my personal experience.

Sushantk, i myself have the wagonR, and its completely a rumour that it is unstable above 80kmph.. infact, it feels rock stable even at 120kmph.. and certainly more stable than Santro which does not even touch 100kmph..
Commented on kkanera's review
I would like to add here that although Palio 1.2 has a great Build quality, it cannot match Swift and Getz in terms of performance. Infact, in city driving, Palio NV will have trouble keeping up with Santos and WagonRs. So its not completely right to say that its scores over Swift in terms of Perfor Read More...

I just wanted to correct you that Indigo is not CRDI. Its normal IDI turbo charged engine with Intercooler producing 70BHP. TATA has introduced common rail technology only in its Safari Model (Dicor).
