MC is definitely not just another sci fi author. His books, some of which have strong sci fi elements, are also so much more - reading a MC sci fi after reading an Asimov probably will bring out the difference. So, what I felt after reading Prey was that it slotted him into the 'popular sci fi' set. read more...

The disappointment of Prey (and to some extent, Timeline) notwithstanding, I have always been and will remain a Crichton fan! Thanks for the feedback!
