If only soft water has to be used, why do manufacturers offer the steam option? In India, water in most parts is salty, and if rust and scales are going to form on the inside of the iron and the underside, the clothes stand a great risk of getting torn, and the rust getting onto it. If this is truly the case, you should file a case in the Consumer Court for deficiency of services, and breach of agreement. The DTH will fast lose it's reputation if it behaves like this with it's clientele.

Tata Sky also has a similar facility of recording two channels simultaneously while you can watch a third, as the recording of two channels is in progress.
