I am a user experience consultant. User Experience encompasses all the interaction that a customer has with your brand, and can make or break your online business. My special interest areas are information architecture, usability, writing, user interface design (both Web and software), and Internet strategy.
Before going solo, I was the Head of the User Experience department at Trisoft Systems, an Internet Solutions company based in New Delhi, India.
Before that, I was the Webmaster of CNET's Indian site, India.CNET.com. As Webmaster, I was responsible for managing the site and the design and development of web apps for use on the site. In short, I handled all technology and design-related matters for the site. I also answered reader feedback, did online promotion of content, advised on company strategy, etc. That's a typical Webmaster position, I guess ;)
And before that, I was the Webmaster for the CIOL network of sites (www.ciol.com).
My other true love in life is cooking. I have a passion for cooking. I started cooking when I was 13. My specialty is Oriental food. I am accomplished at Chinese (the real stuff, not the crappy ''Indo-Chinese'' Manchurian glop you see so much of), Thai, Indonesian, and Malaysian cuisine. Some day, I hope to start a restaurant here in Bangalore.
A person driven solely by science, logic, reason, ethics, and justice, I have no beliefs, superstitions, or other religious affiliations. Unless it makes sense to me, I won't accept anything - the eternal skeptic. If you get into an argument with me, you had better be prepared, for I love a good war of words. :)
