Hi! The film TOMCATS is absolutely sexist, vulgar and repulsive. But it speaks volumes on the average American male obsession and their delirious cravings that prompt filmmakers to cash in on the genre. Your review's good. This genuinely different piece of cinema deserves the praise of cineastes. But I agree with most of the reviewers in saying that this is a poorer adaptation by Vishal Bharadwaj when one compares Omkara with his earlier Shakespeare offering - Maqbool. Good reviewing......as usual. I liked the film, of course, but my personal belief is that Rituparno, who delves deeper into the female psyche so well, has in this film a rather stereotypical male perception. He has unnaturally made us empathise with the hero's embrace of infidelity!

Saif Ali Khan is sure to go places after Being Cyrus and Omkara. And I don't mind the adulations heaped on him (nor would most female readers).Being Saif, it must have been too difficult for him to step into the shoes of Cyrus, the odd hero, or that's what most people thought before seeing the movie read more...

FALTU is the second best Bengali film I have seen this year (after DOSAR). Both DOSAR and FALTU are excellent films made in Bengali and they sure do make Tollygunge proud.

Terrorism cannot be defended, that's what I feel. Alright, the film tries to make a point, and that's it. I found Shilajit Majumdar unconvincing and the ending was trite.
