Something I wrote years ago and remains close to my heart... The Dead Rose The dreams shattered and hopes asphyxiated of the bud that never saw full bloom cut from branch now in an expensive vase the plaintive rose sits blank,inert with a painted smile across the window it can see the wild,unkempt lilies in their radience blossoming and making a mockery of the dead rose . I like to study paintings and people. Coffee and shopping are two joys of my life. I like good music, movies, literature and Indo Pak cricket. I used to write a little( you can search for Soma Vashishtha at Poetry.com), but that was years ago and with mouthshut I’d like to rise from the ashes again !
