I have faced exactly the SAME problem which means that this is a regular incident with Flipkart. I am yet to get the refund. This simply indicates that Flipkart does this intentionally to fool people and enjoy interest free customer's money for weeks together.

I had a similar experience with car loan. Their sales people committed 2.5% pre-closure penalty, whereas Axis bank refused to honour the commitment and charged 5%. Even submitting written complaints to their management did not help. Avoid this bank as far as possible.

Today is 1st Oct 2012 and I have still not received the refund from DealsandYou, despite their assurance (please read their message dated 27th Sep 2012) which states that 'your refund will be positively credited back into your account in the next 24hrs'. My Order Id is 780310. I have been speaking to the representatives who keep telling me that the matter would be resolved in 48 hours. The last complaint no. is 461871. What a waste of time and money !

I had faced a similar problem with my Airtel broadband connection. As a remedial measure, I switched over to the 'unlimited' plan and since then there has been no problem.
