Folks who have bought this, do you think it is good? I was planning to go for the Samsung 4 series 32' when I learnt that the 80 FR is available for 500 bucks more than the Samsung one, at 34200 [Chennai]. Is it worth the bucks? I am aware of Samsung, but LG?

I completely agree with this. I experienced the same problem during the match and the customer care blamed it on the channel even when I told them that my neighbours who had cable were able to watch without any interruption. Tata Sky simple sucks.

Not a surprise considering Tata Sky are veterans at cheating people. They advertise cheap and charge a bomb. I pity you. This is just the beginning. It is not just about rains, it is about the product as a whole. Reducing channels in the name of providing more 'cost-effective' solutions is rubbish. Tata Sky is just rubbish. Costly, very few channels, ever changing (and increasing) cost structure, pricey technicians, pricey customer care calls - they don't even have a toll free number, pricey packages, its all about the money. bioenable, I am not sure you are aware that Dish TV had brought out a DVR more than 2 years back. It was another thing that they didn't give too much attention to advertising, and had to stop the product due to lack of demand. Stay away from Tata Sky. I have been using Tata Sky since October 2006, and my experience has only kept worsening. Only reason I have not yet changed this is the high entry cost that I had paid (Rs. 4000/-).
